My Background
I'm Aymara Valladares, a licensed therapist who has worked with many families navigating ADHD, emotional overwhelm, meltdowns, and academic struggles.
And over the years, I started noticing something important.
The parents who were trying the hardest.... were often the most exhausted.
Families were stuck in the same painful cycle:Â
More reminders.
More frustration.
More emotional reactions. And somehow… nothing truly changed long-term.
I realized most ADHD advice focused on controlling behavior instead of understanding how the brain actually functions.
And because of that, many families were unknowingly using strategies that increased overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, and chaos at home. That realization changed everything for me.
Because once parents learn how to work with their child’s brain instead of constantly fighting against it… the home begins to change.
Homework becomes more manageable.
Meltdowns decrease.
Children become calmer and more confident.
And parents finally stop feeling like they’re failing every single day.
